Whether you are a manager needing to present proposals to your supervisor or a frontline staff member wanting to articulate an idea to your co-workers, everyone needs the basics of public speaking.  Your Public Speaking Workout is an interactive workshop for anyone wanting/needing to improve their public speaking skills.  Participants will learn the skills necessary to build confidence to present their ideas while engaging their audience.


Participants will learn to:

  • Prepare a presentation
  • Engage the audience
  • Use stories, anecdotes and humor appropriately
  • Use eye contact
  • Establish presence
  • Use visual aids
  • Overcome nervousness
  • Create grabbers (openings)
  • Handle questions and answers


This workshop is being presented by Jessica Selasky president and co-founder of Confidence Builders International. 

Since forming Confidence Builders in 1994, Ms. Selasky has designed and delivered a series of training programs for a variety of companies throughout the United States including Snapple and McDonald’s. She has also worked with Toyota, General Cable, Paycor, Dinsmore, Cincinnati Bell, Duke Energy, Messer, Scripps, TQL, and International Paper.

She is co-author of the book, Your Public Speaking Workout. 

Jessica is past president of the Greater Cincinnati ATD (Association for Talent Development).  Jessica also served on the Board of Directors for Camp Joy for nine years.

Jessica splits time between Cincinnati and Sarasota, FL.
