Art Academy Executive Accepted to Wildfire Program

Press Release

Only six were chosen from a pool of 176 applicants from across America. Chris Roediger, HR Manager of the Art Academy of Cincinnati, was thrilled. She knows the value of the program.

“As an HR professional new to higher education, it is tremendous to be part of a leadership development program. Wildfire is similar to a fellowship program for human resources, and it is the Art Academy of Cincinnati that will benefit from the mentoring and oversight that I’ll receive from our work together. I very much look forward to networking with other professionals from schools all over the country and honing my skills specifically for work in higher education.”

CUPA-HR is the association for Human Resource professionals in higher education. CUPA-HR monitors trends, provides training, explores emerging workforce issues, conducts research, and promotes strategic discussions among colleges and universities. The association has more than 23,000 HR professionals and other campus leaders at over 1,900 member organizations, including:

  • 93 percent of all U.S. doctoral institutions
  • 78 percent of all master’s institutions
  • 56 percent of all bachelor’s institutions and
  • Almost 700 community colleges and specialized institutions

The competition is intense and the award invaluable. As a participant of the CUPA-HR Wildfire Program, Ms. Roediger will receive tailored learning experiences that will benefit the employees and faculty of the Art Academy. The first of a year-long schedule of meetings and workshops is in July, 2017

“The Art Academy of Cincinnati could not be more proud of Chris and herr selection to the Wildfire Program. As a member of the Association of Independent Colleges of Art and Design, and accredited by the National Association of Schools of Art and Design, and the Higher Learning Commission, we know how important it is to provide professional development to employees and faulty so that we can maintain our very high standards,” said John M Sullivan, president of the Art Academy of Cincinnati.
