Humans at the Center: Empowering Students with AI, Authentic Assignments, and Information Literacy

June 5

12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

This is a virtual workshop. The Link to Join will be sent the day before the session.

In the age of instant information via Google and AI, how do we keep student creativity, critical thinking, and innovation at the forefront? The key lies in crafting engaging assignments that blend information literacy with human ingenuity. Join us as we explore the AI-infused college essay experience through the lenses of iSearch, the CRAAP test, and the FLUF Test. We'll navigate the complexities of this new academic landscape, from examining AI hallucinations to critiquing online search results.

Presenter:    Jennifer Parker, University of Florida
