Collaborative Groups

GC3 has numerous collaborative groups comprised of faculty and staff from any area of the institution or community member with an interest in resolving the issue or meeting the need.  For example, a group of professionals from varous departments amongst several institutions may be interested in retention.  A collaborative group may be formed consisting of faculty and staff from a variety of areas throughout the institution which impact retention, the group working together to address needs retention issues.  Participation in the group is not limited to faculty or staff at a specific level or area of the institution.

Collaborative Groups operate "as needed".  They may be long-term or short term, focussing on a specific issue, problem or task.  Current GC3 Collaborative

Groups include:
Adult Education Professionals - collaborate with the community to increase awareness of and access to higher education opportunities in the Cincinnati Region to support talent attraction and retention for its business partners and advance career opportunities for employees within their companies.  The Adult Edcuation Group meets monthly.
Career Development Professionals - meet monthly to discuss items the group needs to share, successes, discuss questions or issues which have come up, and opportunities for collaboration.
Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Professionals Group - met every other month to dicsuss issues occuring on campuses and to develop a Toolkit for colleges and universities to use to develop and implement a DEI strategy into their culture.
Faculty Development Professionals - meet every month discussing current issues and how to address them.  The provides guidance on professional develop opportunities scheduled throughout the year.
Internship Task Force - comprised of representatives from the GC3 members career development professionals, the Northern Kentucky and Cincinnati Chambers of Commerce and the business community to develop resources connecting higher education and the business community to promote the benefits of internships, connect interns and internships and increase the number of internships available in the region.

Collaborative Groups comprised of professionals from Admissions, Student Affairs, Enrollment Management, Human Resources, Academic Affairs, Student Affairs and Title IX met regularly throuhgout the Covid 19 Pandemic.  Those groups reconvene as needed or requested.
