Judy Kronenberger, Ph. D., has been named President of the Good Samaritan College of Nursing and Health Science. Judy possesses more than 20 years of experience in higher education as both a faculty member and as a leader in growing programs to serve health care systems, communities, and most importantly, the patients who seek our healthcare services.
Judy first joined TriHealth as the Academic Dean for General Education and Allied Health. While serving in that role, she was tasked with several core responsibilities at the college, including:
- Providing oversight and guidance of all aspects of the curriculums for general education and allied health
- Developing allied health programs, including the medical assistant and pharmacy technician courses
Judy took on additional responsibilities while serving as the Interim President since February 2019. Through her leadership, the college experienced a significant increase in team member engagement scores throughout the year. It was also during this time that Judy increased her knowledge of regulatory standards for higher education with agencies such as the Ohio Department of Higher Education, the Higher Learning Commission, and programmatic accreditors.
Moving forward as President, Judy intends to keep a sharp focus on maintaining a student-centered college dedicated to academic excellence and financial stability. A vital piece of that work will be continuing the Good Samaritan College’s long tradition of educating competent and compassionate nurses. She will also have the opportunity to form new relationships, new collaborative efforts and continue to develop additional educational programs to meet the needs of our health system and our community.
